Located at the Engineering School of UFMG, the TESLA Power Engineering Laboratory occupies an area of approximately 200 square meters with a complete infrastructure for advanced research in electrical engineering. Founded in 1999 with the purpose of expanding its activities in the Power Electronics and Electric Drives sector, the laboratory has always focused on the excellence training of human resources and interaction with the national and international industry. Currently the Tesla Power Engineering Group has a distinguished presence in areas such as Conservation and Quality of Electric Energy, Electromagnetic Compatibility, Design of Power Converters and Electric Machines, Vehicle Applications and Reliability Engineering.
