The Tesla group leader, professor Braz de Jesus Cardoso Filho, the collaborative researcher Anderson Vagner Rocha (CEFET-MG) and graduate student Marcos Paulo Brito Gomes attended the APEC 2019 - Applied Power Electronics Conference. The event this year took place at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California - USA, where the following works
According to conference organizers, APEC is suitable for designers of electronic power components and systems, including power supplies, DC-DC converters, motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies, power systems and inverters. But they add that "this is not just a designers conference." Audience also includes OEMs using power supplies and DC-DC converters; teachers, manufacturers and suppliers of power electronics components and assemblies; and manufacturing, quality and compliance engineers.
More than 5000 researchers and professionals from around the world attended the event. The 2018 exhibit featured 292 exhibiting companies, with 50 countries represented. This year's plenary sessions include a focus on robotic applications; zero emission transmission mechanisms and fuel cell engines; medical devices; and an overview of university research programs in power electronics. The APEC website (http://www.apec-conf.org/) includes a full schedule including technical and sectoral sessions, vocational education seminars and more.
